We are an experienced team of six Physiotherapists, working from our Clinic in Sidford, East Devon. We all have membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are all registered with the Health Professions Council.
Heather Martin: Heather is the Practice Principal. She has worked as a Physiotherapist since 1979, both in the UK and overseas. Heather specialises in spinal and joint pain and injuries in sport. She is a member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (SOM), The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). She is a certified Mulligan practitioner (CMP) and is Physiotherapist to Sidmouth Rugby Football Club 1st XV.
Catherine Whiteley: Catherine graduated from Brunel University in 1998. She has particular interests in musculoskeletal disorders, paediatrics, occupational health, ergonomics and chronic condition management such as panic attacks, hyperventilation and chronic fatigue. She is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists AACP
James Whiteley: James graduated from Brunel University in 1997. He has wide ranging expertise in musculoskeltal problems and particular interest in shoulder problems, surgery and post operative care. He is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists AACP.
Jenny Ashby: Jenny graduated from Coventry University in 2002. Her physiotherapy skills cover a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She holds particular interest in upper limb pathologies, especially treatment of the shoulder and hand, Vestibular Dysfunction, including dizziness and balance problems. Jenny is trained to treat patients with Benign Paroxymal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Jenny is also qualified in acupuncture and is a member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (SOM) and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
Vicky Wilkins: Vicky graduated from UWE in 2008. Her particular interests are in musculoskeletal disorders, with particular interest in the management of sports injuries. Vicky is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) and is accredited at Bronze Level. She is also a member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (SOM).
Mandy Thomas and Jane Bess
Mandy Thomas is our Practice Manager at eastdevonphysio. She runs the administrative side of the practice with our receptionist, Jane Bess.
